Xinmi Overview
Xinmi City is located at about 40 kilometers southwest of Zhengzhou. With a total area of 1001 square kilometers and a population of 760,000, it has jurisdiction over 13 countries and towns, 3 sub district offices, 303 villages and 27 residents’ committees. There are Palace of Huangdi and Native Place of Fuxi. The honeysuckle is the local specialty with the highest sales value in China. So people say “ China’s best honeysuckles are in Henan but Henan’s best ones are in Xinmi”. In 2006, the fiscal revenue if 802 million, up by 26.3% over the previous year.
