Tongliao (simplified Chinese: 通辽; traditional Chinese: 通遼; pinyin: Tōngliáo) is located in the eastern portion of China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, at the intersection of Inner Mongolia and Jilin and Liaoning Provinces, and has an area of 59,535 km2, accounting for 5.4% of Inner Mongolia's total.
