Sofitel Qingyuan Riverside is located in the heart of the city and on the banks of the Beijiang River. Next door is the Qingyuan City government offices, the now upgraded (and bustling) Ying Zhi Cheng Plaza and many eateries and restaurants (Guangdong, Hunan, Sichuan, noodle shops etc). The glass encased modern hotel structure boasts a striking luxurious 3 storey lobby which leads into a "central atrium" which is ideal for casual gathering & conversation. the Hotel totals 368 rooms, including a wide array of luxurious suites reputed as the best in Qingyuan. Sleep comfort offers soft down-feather beds and pillow selection. Restaurants include Chinese, Western, outsourced Japanese and Lobby Lounge. Recreation offers year-round indoor summer only outdoor swimming pools, very large and well equipped fitness centre, M/F steam rooms, tennis / basketball court and rooftop garden. Adjoining is a large KTV and Sauna(outsourced). Qingyuan city has developed substantially since the opening of the hotel in Q3 2007 and now has the the high speed train station 8 minutes away, by car to Guangzhou Baiyun airport (50 minutes)and into Beijing Road in Guangzhou (65 minutes). Qingyuan is indeed a reprieve from the heavy traffic area of Guangzhou, where greenery, water features, modernity and clean air abounds.
